Ash Based Pain d'Alep 20%

Originally from Mesopotamia, the Ash based Pain d'Alep 20% soap or Pain de Cendre is made today as it was centuries ago. Containing mild olive oil (75%), purifying laurel oil (20%), water and wood ash this is a 100% plant based soap. Using wood ash to bind a soap has been used since the 18th century but was replaced with the more cost effective mineral soda over the years. The wood ash is obtained from plants growing on the salt plains of Syria and guarantees an exceptionally mild soap. So mild it helps to soothe and heal inflammed eczema and psoriasis.
